Yes - completely and permanently free. Every tool on SM Calculators has a free tier that never expires. We are advertising-supported, which means you pay nothing and we never put tools behind paywalls. Some advanced features are available in a Pro plan, but the core functionality of every tool is always free.

No. You can use every tool on SM Calculators without creating an account. Just open the tool and start using it. An account (free) lets you save your history and access recently used tools - but it is never required.

SMCalc currently has 500+ tools across 33 categories including PDF Tools, Image Tools, Text Tools, Finance Calculators, AI Writing tools, Code Tools, Health calculators and more. We add new tools every week.

SMCalc works in all countries - 190+ worldwide. The site is fully accessible without VPN or restrictions. Some financial tools (like the Income Tax Calculator) are region-specific, and we note this clearly on those tools.

Yes - all SMCalc tools are fully responsive and designed to work on smartphones and tablets. We recommend Chrome or Safari on mobile for the best experience.

Use our Contact page to submit a tool request. Select "Tool Request" as the subject and describe what you need. We review all requests and prioritise the most-requested tools each month.

For most tools, all processing happens entirely in your browser - your files never leave your device. For tools requiring server-side processing, files are encrypted in transit, processed on secure servers and automatically deleted within 1 hour of upload. We never store, read or share your files.

Yes. SMCalc complies with GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, CCPA (California) and PDPA (India). We collect minimal data, clearly disclose what we collect, provide opt-out mechanisms for all non-essential cookies and never sell personal data to third parties.

All financial calculations (EMI, tax, salary, etc.) are performed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No financial data is ever transmitted to our servers. You can verify this by using our calculators while offline - they will still work.

We show ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve relevant advertisements. We do not share your personal data with advertisers. We never allow advertisers to access your file content or tool usage data.

Text submitted to AI tools is sent to our AI API for processing and immediately discarded - it is not stored, used for training or shared with any third party. We recommend not pasting highly sensitive documents into any AI tool as a general precaution.

File size limits vary by tool. Most PDF tools support files up to 100MB. Image tools support files up to 50MB. Batch operations may have a combined limit. The limit is always displayed on the tool page before you upload.

Each tool specifies supported formats on its page. PDF tools support PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS and more. Image tools support JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC and more. AI writing tools accept plain text input.

Yes. All uploaded files are automatically deleted from our servers within 1 hour of processing (usually much sooner). We do not keep copies of any files you process through SMCalc.

Some tools support batch processing (e.g., batch image resize, batch PDF compress). These are available to all users, with higher limits for Pro users. Look for a 'Batch' or 'Multiple files' option on the tool page.

Most tool issues are browser-related. Try: 1) Refreshing the page, 2) Clearing your browser cache, 3) Using a different browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended), 4) Disabling browser extensions that might block scripts. If the issue persists, contact us with your browser version and what happened.

Most tools that use AI or server-side processing require an internet connection. However, pure JavaScript tools (like calculators and text tools) can often work offline after first load. We clearly indicate when a tool requires connectivity.

Yes. There are no restrictions on using our tool outputs for personal or commercial purposes. You own everything you create using SMCalc tools.

Output quality depends on the input quality and the tool's processing settings. For PDF tools, a higher-quality source file produces better results. For AI tools, more specific and detailed inputs produce better outputs. Each tool has a help section with tips.

Yes - SMCalc Pro offers higher file size limits, faster processing, no ads, batch operations, priority support and access to advanced features. Pro is optional; the core tools are always free.

Yes. You can cancel at any time from your Account Settings. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified - the highest level of payment security. We never store your card details on our servers.
